Leadership Portland Spotlight: Tabitha Jensen

Leadership Portland Spotlight: Tabitha Jensen

Name: Tabitha Jensen
Company: New Avenues for Youth
Job: Deputy Director

Why Tabitha got involved in Leadership Portland: I am hoping to meet and build relationships with partners in the public, private, and nonprofit sector that are invested in a safe and successful Portland - both as a city and a community.

Why it’s important: No one person or group has all of the answers. It has been my experience that you arrive at the best work product or community solutions through curiosity and collaboration, especially if the work can be done cross-sector, in a nonpartisan manner, with a highly diverse set of minds at the table.

Why Tabitha loves Portland: I love that you can drive for 60 minutes and get to the mountains, the beach, the desert, or farmland. Having grown up in the Midwest and suffering through bitterly cold winters and humid, hot summers, I also appreciate the mild climate that Oregon offers.

Fun Fact: I've owned and fixed up two classic cars, a '58 Studebaker President and a '62 Studebaker Hawk GT. I also have a Studebaker tattoo!
