Walmart and Walmart Foundation donate to West Coast Fire Response

Walmart & Walmart Foundation have increased our support for wildfire relief to $1M in cash plus in-kind for Oregon, Washington and California.
With firefighters battling a historic number of wildfires impacting communities in Oregon, Washington and California, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation announced they will increase their support of relief efforts up to $1 million in cash and in-kind product donations.
This new commitment will award the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross with $350,000 each to help with feeding and sheltering those affected by the fires in Oregon, Washington and California, along with in-kind product donations up to $50,000.

With stores and associates that are long-time members of many of the communities like Medford, Talent, Clackamas or at the gateway to Santiam, we are feeling the effects of the fires alongside all Oregonians.
Their stores are partnering with direct needs for local fire and police departments, community volunteers, food banks and animal/livestock shelters with items such as pillows to coolers and ice.
This builds upon the previous $250,000 commitment made in late August, which was disbursed among three community response partners on the frontlines of the tragedy in California – the Salvation Army, World Central Kitchen, and American Red Cross.
