Portland Clean Energy Fund seeks your input

Portland Community Energy Benefits Fund (PCEF) committee and staff are seeking input and comments on the grant scoring criteria. The comment period is open until June 19.
The PCEF Committee and staff seek input and comment on the grant scoring criteria prior to the release of the request for proposals (RFP) for the first $8 million of funding for green jobs, healthy homes, and community energy projects, among others. This is a critical milestone in the implementation of this historic initiative, created and led by communities of color.
The draft Grant Scoring Criteria can be viewed here. This is a very transparent and informative document. By viewing the table of contents, you can navigate to focus on the topics/issues that most interest you. If you don’t have time to read it all, don’t worry! The information will be discussed during the webinar.
Join a webinar: These virtual meetings are offered by PCEF staff to share background information and answer questions regarding the public comment period on grant eligibility and scoring criteria. Please join the PCEF BPS staff at an online webinar: Why is it important to comment on the draft grant scoring criteria?
  • Applications that best meet the grant criteria will be given preference in funding
  • Criteria inform grant applicants of the values held by the PCEF Committee and their relative importance, and we want to understand if the criteria reflect elements that are most meaningful to you and your community.
  • Criteria can be used as a guideline for non-profits in completing their applications.
  • Criteria ensure that funding decisions are accountable to program goals.
