Pioneers for Pioneers scholarship

Pioneers for Pioneers scholarship

Pioneers for Pioneers is a student-led scholarship founded on three priorities:
1. Retention: what can we do to help keep students here at Lewis & Clark?
2. Community Building: how can we unite the student body and show that students and the
Lewis & Clark community truly care about one another?
3. Culture of Philanthropy: how can we share with students the importance of continually
building the future of the College?

Pioneers for Pioneers awards are given to students whose financial status unexpectedly changes, leaving them unable to afford what they once could. This award helps students clear their outstanding balances so they can register for classes and stay at Lewis & Clark for another semester. It is essentially supplemental financial aid to the already existing financial aid packages available for students. In the 2018-2019 academic year, nearly 500 gifts were made by more than 450 students, parents, alumni, and friends of the college donating more than $20,000. We are continually striving to expand the program, and what better way to do so than by celebrating the scholarship’s 5th anniversary! Financial contributions or gift items for raffle are immensely appreciated.

We cannot help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Thank you!
