Celebrating our new home

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Portland Business Alliance and its affiliate partners welcomed members and elected leaders to celebrate the holiday season and the grand opening of its new office on the 14th floor of the World Trade Center. Hundreds of people joined in on the celebration and enjoyed treats from Alliance members Portland Rescue Mission, Elephants Delicatessen, Craft Brew Alliance, My Bartender, McMenamins Hotels, Pubs & Breweries, and Starbucks.



The celebration included remarks from special guests Senator Jeff Merkley, Maria Pope, president and CEO of Portland General Electric, and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. And concluded with an official ribbon cutting led by Alliance president and CEO, Andrew Hoan, and affiliate partners Downtown Portland Clean & Safe Executive Director Maureen Fisher and Partners in Diversity Executive Director Mari Watanabe.

The newly renovated 8,850 square feet includes a conference center open to the business community. The Alliance and its affiliate partners are committed to supporting opportunities for emerging businesses, 47% of contractors and 70% of purchases on this project included MWVB/E.
