Portland Community College hires Andrew Lattanner to head Training Center

Andrew Lattanner has been selected by Portland Community College to lead the new Workforce Training Center, which will be a part of the regional Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center (OMIC). He started his job at the Workforce Training Center on July 15.

The OMIC combines higher education, industry and government to promote innovation. It works to help train manufacturers in Oregon, mostly people working in the metal manufacturing industry. The training center specifically supports apprenticeship and will open in the fall of 2020.

Lattanner will supervise the many programs the training center facilitates. These programs include Industrial Fabrication, Mechatronics and Machine Manufacturing. Lattanner will work to mold these programs to what type of workforce regional manufacturers need.
