BofA's Hinshaw, Swindell talk Trump, taxes and small business lending

Most in Portland’s business community know Roger Hinshaw, the longtime head of Bank of America’s local commercial banking arm and a fixture at various points on civic boards including the Portland Business Alliance, Oregon Business Plan and Greater Portland Inc.

Those same folks will likely soon know Chris Swindell. Last year, Swindell basically assumed Hinshaw’s old job.

Hinshaw, who still lives in Portland, retained the title market president, but was elevated to a regional role overseeing commercial banking in the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

Hinshaw and Swindell sat down with the Business Journal last week to discuss the business environment, the Trump administration and the wrangling over business taxes in Salem.
