Oregon Zoo sees more than 1.6 million visitors in 2016
For the fourth year in a row, the Oregon Zoo is setting near-record numbers with 1,619,143 visitors in 2016. This marks the zoo’s third-highest year, just short of the record 1,645,843 visitors in 2010. The month of April brought in 160,405 visitors, shattering a decade-old attendance record of 144,051 visitors set back in 2006. Dr. Don Moore, director of the zoo, said strong attendance helps support the zoo’s conservation, education and animal welfare efforts. Plan your next visit.
