Bank of America volunteers partner with food bank to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
On Monday, Jan. 16, Bank of America employees and family members spent the day volunteering for the Oregon Food Bank to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The volunteers worked at the Portland and Beaverton locations packing more than 100,000 pounds of food, the equivalent of 83,000 meals. This is the seventh year Bank of America has partnered with the Oregon Food Bank, awarding $15,000 to the nonprofit just on Monday to support their ongoing efforts to end hunger in Oregon and southwest Washington.
