Stay healthy, stay informed: COVID-19

In the wake of the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) outbreak, our teams are working collaboratively with economic development partners, community leaders and others to find out what we can do to support commerce, community and prosperity here in the greater Portland region.
We are sharing relevant updates with our stakeholders as we receive them.
Over the weekend, we were asked to join economic task force meetings happening this week, both locally and statewide. As we prepare to be at the table, we want to be sure we are sharing the impacts felt by employers in real time.

What's the impact to your business? Financial or otherwise.
What do elected leaders need to know right now?

Additionally, Oregon businesses impacted by COVID-19 are being urged to fill out and submit this economic injury worksheet as soon as possible. Download this pdf from the State of OregonThe contact list on where to send it in is listed here.

Public health officials are working around the clock sharing important updates with our community. Please be sure to keep these sites bookmarked as an ongoing resource:

We know many employers in our community are impacted by the impacts of COVID-19.
According to Multnomah County officials, local immigrant communities and communities of color have experienced discrimination, loss of business and worse due to myths surrounding COVID-19. We encourage partners to report any instances of discrimination or bias crimes to the Oregon Department of Justice.
Our friends at Greater Portland Inc are maintaining an important page of resources for all those who do business in our region. This incredible resource is being updated with new information as it becomes available. Please monitor this list for the latest.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll be sitting at the table with Prosper Portland and other community leaders to discuss how we can all work together to keep our region’s economy strong.

We know everyone is doing their part to stay safe and at the same time we encourage you to remember the businesses in our region and continue to support them even if you cannot visit them physically.

Be creative, think local. We’ve created a list of things you can do now that will help mitigate impacts. Learn more about how to stay safe and support Portland businesses.

Several community partners are also pooling their resources to help. And economic development leaders are partnering to survey the impact of COVID-19 on the economy.
