More broadly, the Alliance’s legislative agenda also includes transportation funding, workplace related bills, education funding for both CTE/STEM and higher education, industrial lands, and housing affordability.
April 18 marked a major legislative deadline and the scope of active bills has now been reduced. The Alliance is actively engaged in workplace-related bills, such as pay equity, predictive scheduling and fixing an issue related to overtime pay for manufacturers, as well as a potential transportation package. The Alliance supports a number of bills that include providing flexibility to expand the urban growth boundary for affordable housing, assisting with industrial land site readiness and workforce preparedness for key growth industries.
