The Alliance continues to work with elected officials, as well as private and nonprofit partners to identify additional emergency shelter capacity for people sleeping outside. Efforts are focused on establishing a low-barrier shelter for the chronically homeless in the near term, as well as to identify potential publicly-owned properties for shelter space or other services for the homeless. Meanwhile, a proposal to move the Right to Dream Too homeless camp from its current location at NW Fourth and Burnside to a Portland Parks Bureau property on SW Naito and Harrison will not move forward.
