Programs

The Portland Business Alliance offers a rich array of programs to help members with professional development, connect with business and civic leaders, community involvement and small business support.

International Excursions

The Alliance offers signature trips to exotic international destinations. These excursions include opportunities to experience a country’s culture and get behind the scenes. Coordinated through the Alliance and its partner, Global Incentive Group, these travel experiences provide a hassle-free way to explore the world.

Leadership Portland

Leadership Portland is a professional development and civic engagement program for advanced leaders employed at Alliance member organizations, designed to cultivate community leaders for today and tomorrow. This nine-month program educates participants on a wide array of critical issues affecting the Portland region. Participants work together as a group and engage in the key elements of both the city, regional and state infrastructure. By the end of the program, participants will develop an integrated overview of how to get involved in regional issues.

Small Business

With approximately 75 percent of Alliance membership consisting of small businesses, the Alliance makes it a priority to offer small business owners access to resources and tools to help small business grow and thrive. The Alliance’s small business programming includes opportunities to boost your business, save money and raise your impact in an environment that supports small business growth and innovation.

Young Professionals

The Alliance is active in cultivating the business leaders of the future by offering programming for young professionals. These programs are geared toward young professionals interested in networking, education, professional development and community involvement.

Certificate of Origin

For a fee, the Portland Business Alliance issues certificates of origin for goods manufactured within the United States for members and non-member businesses. The purpose of the certificate is to authenticate a product’s country of origin. Customs offices use this document to determine whether or not a preferential duty rate applies on the products being imported.
