Upstream Public Health program provides dental care for low-income Portland youth

Cambia Health Foundation awarded a $96,000 grant to an Upstream Public Health program, which will provide basic dental preventive services for 3,500 Portland-area children. The two-year initiative will serve thousands of low-income children ages six months to five years old who are enrolled in 60 licensed childcare programs in the Tri-County area. This initiative will provide childcare centers with resources on dental health and nutrition education, set up tooth brushing programs, and provide annual screenings in order to give Oregon children the necessary tools for good dental health.
