University of Portland has selected Rev. Mark L. Poorman
to serve as the 20th
president of the school. Fr. Poorman, who is currently serving as executive vice president of the University, will succeed Rev. E. William Beauchamp. In his current role as executive vice president, Fr. Poorman oversees the school’s operations, financial affairs, university relations and student affairs. Prior to joining University of Portland, Fr. Poorman was the vice president for student affairs at the University of Notre Dame.
