United Way invests $8.2 million to end childhood poverty

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette is making an $8.2 million investment to bring organizations and resources together over the next five years to help fight childhood poverty. This is the largest financial and relational investment of its kind. Their investment will go toward three specific strategic areas: community transformation, community strengthening and community safety net.  Each area of investment will help bring organizations together through their knowledge, volunteer resources, best practices and ideas to help these children achieve success.
