Standard Insurance Company raised $534,000 through its 2014 Employee Giving Campaign
for OHSU Knight Cancer Challenge. This includes more than $180,000 by current and retired employees as well as a two-to-one corporate match. Earlier this year, The Standard pledged a minimum of $250,000 to the Knight Cancer Challenge through various events including its Jeans Day program, which encourages employees to donate $100 or more to a nonprofit in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work. As part of its giving campaign, The Standard matched donations to the Knight Cancer Challenge two-to-one as an added incentive. The Standard is also a member of Unite for the Knight
, a coalition of business and labor groups working together to help OHSU meet the $1 billion Knight Cancer Challenge.
