Portland Business Alliance board of directors announces candidate endorsements for Oregon Legislature

Board endorses candidates for Oregon House and Senate

Portland, Ore. – The Portland Business Alliance board of directors today announced its endorsement of candidates for the Oregon Legislature for the November 2014 election.
“The following candidates have been partners on issues related to economic development and job creation in Oregon and supportive of policies that are high priority for the Alliance, such as PERS reform, reinvention of our education system, public safety and transportation infrastructure,” said Sandra McDonough, president & CEO of the Portland Business Alliance.

The Alliance considers a number of candidate and issue races for possible endorsement each election cycle. Committees interview individuals involved with the races and then recommends a position to the full board of directors. Two-thirds of the board members present must agree before an endorsement is made.
