Oregon’s Health CO-OP asks members to weigh in on their healthcare needs

Oregon’s Health CO-OP is taking a bold stance on healthcare by allowing its members to take an active role in what they want in from their healthcare. The idea originated after the CO-OP asked more than 2,000 Oregonians what their ideal health plan was and then designed benefits based on the results.  Members were then invited to a forum in June where they shared their ideas with the CO-OP’s senior leaders.  This summer, the CO-OP plans to form a member-driven board of directors and are inviting its members to run for a seat. The responsibilities of respective board members will include strategic goal setting, budgeting and financial reporting, developing policies for business operations, overseeing the CEO and other duties.  If you are interested in participating, contact or 503-488-2796.
