Cambia Health Foundation gave a $10 million grant
to the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Palliative Care Center of Excellence. The center will be renamed the Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence this December. The center will employ research and education to improve quality of life for patients who need palliative care: those at the end of life as well as patients with serious illnesses, chronic conditions or traumatic injuries. The grant will be distributed in four separate parts, creating three endowments totaling $8 million and $2 million dedicated to immediately improving care at the center.
