PORTLAND, Ore. – Today, the Portland Business Alliance released the responses to the first round of its 2014 candidate questionnaires, revealing how candidates for Multnomah County Chair and Multnomah County Commission District 1 approach important issues that affect the overall economic health of the region.

“Multnomah County plays a central role in infrastructure, health and the overall quality of life in our community,” said Sandra McDonough, president and CEO of the Portland Business Alliance. “The questionnaires give our members and voters a better idea on where candidates stand on priorities for employers in our community.”

The Alliance issues candidate questionnaires to inform its endorsement process and provide a resource for voters. Questions focus on issues identified as critical to the region’s economic success in the Alliance Value of Jobs campaign.

Candidate questionnaires for Portland City Council, Oregon State Legislature, Metro, Washington County and Clackamas County will be released over the next couple of weeks.

The questionnaires can be found on the Alliance’s Value of Jobs website at http://bit.ly/1geDGLH.
