PORTLAND, Ore. – Today, the Portland Business Alliance board of directors announced its candidate endorsements for Washington County Commission. The Alliance board endorsed Andy Duyck for County Chair, Greg Malinowski for Commission District 2 and Bob Terry for Commission District 4.

“The board feels these candidates have demonstrated a broad understanding of key issues related to economic development,” said Sandra McDonough, president & CEO of the Portland Business Alliance. “Throughout the endorsement process for this race, the board took a close look at the candidates’ understanding of what it takes to retain and grow jobs, and concluded that Andy, Greg and Bob are committed to this kind of investment at the County.”

The board also made endorsements in races in the City of Portland, State Legislature, Multnomah County, Clackamas County and Metro. A full list of endorsements can be found on the Alliance endorsements page.

Alliance board endorsements are based on a process that includes interviewing the viable candidates for the political office and asking them to complete a Value of Jobs candidate questionnaire. Two-thirds of the board members present at the meeting where endorsements are decided must agree before an endorsement is made.
